California offers a number of ways for owners to lawfully avoid aircraft sales and use tax. These include exemptions for commercial charter aircraft, aircraft purchase for transport outside the state, sellers and lessors of aircraft and aircraft operated in interstate commerce, which is a widely-used exemption that I discuss in another video.
