Avidyne has received FAA Technical Standard Order (TSO) approval and an Approved Model List Supplemental Type Certificate (AML-STC) for the IFD440 touchscreen GPS/navcom, a smaller version of the IFD540 certified last year that is designed as a slide-in replacement for the Garmin GNS430.

 

Avidyne also announced the availability of Version 10.1 software for the IFD540, which adds new features and cancels an earlier emergency
